Have you checked into a G Force 400EX axle ?.
Got one in my daughters R, had to get 400EX hubs & a thin washer spacer for the sprocket side, like 5mm thick to aline the chain up. Went right in first time like a charm,
Axle was $180 bucks to the door & used hubs 40 bucks & I lathed out the axle shim washer.

Not to de-rail the thread but I've used several of those g-force axles in 450r's with zero issues. For the money it seems to be a good choice. I clipped a Raptor in 4th gear, ended up in the hospital, bent the axle atleast 2". Had straightened within .10",work just as good as it did new,but I didnt trust jumping it after that..lol

well since I have to build a spacer anyway.... looks like I will check into that... THANKS ,,,,   now,, is the 400ex axle narrower than a 250r axle? because the hubs are .75 wider per side ,,  so did they make ths axle narrower also? g-force not stock?

Yes, the G Force is like 1" shorter than a + 4 Lone Star, but I've not seen any difference in handling.
