I have two in inventory, ready to ship if anyone needs one. I settled on a public price of $285 shipped, but for old friends on .org, let me know what your need is and I'm sure I can get one to you.

Very cool stuff.  Do you take on custom projects?  My harness is complete but I would like to add a tether to it, currently I use this switch (https://www.trailtech.net/en-us/shop/accessories/motorcycle-parts/electrical/switches/switch-3-position-rocker-kill-high-low-off/) which has an OFF, but is it possible to add a tether as well?

hey, sorry I was out of town for a few days.

The kill circuit is straight forward (it just crosses one of the cdi pins with ground (green)), so I'm sure I could make or modify something that incorportates whatever switch you're using, or see if it's simple enough to handle yourself.

So you have an OE style harness (key and handlebar switch kill?), and a trail tech kill/light switch, and you want a tether added as an addition to the switch. Is that correct?

No problem.  My setup is much more complicated.  I hired Michael Sytsma a few years back to build out a harness to use an 01 CR250 with AC output stator from Ricky Stator, full wave rectifier, 12v battery.  That charges the battery, switched power powers headlight and AIM MyChron, and also has a second switched power (not in use) to power a rear tail light / LED whip or something else.  Pics are here in Post 13-14: https://www.forums.trx250r.org/index.php/topic,8811.msg79594.html#msg79594

I like the CR flywheel, so to have led lights with it might be an ideal rig.

I don't know if I'm more qualified than you to reverse engineer it to find the correct kill circuit. On the trx system, you probably already know that it's the bl/wh wire for either the key or the switch connected to gr, but looks like that doesn't help you here.

On the other hand, if we know how the kill circuit works, I can add the heatshrink, JST (japanese solderless terminal) pins, and connector housings. Currently, I only have oe or oe style housings, so they are white. On the r2 harness I add liquid heatshrink to the crimped pieces as well in the event moisture gets to them and promotes galvanic corrosion between the two metal types, but that's just a nice-to-have.

Let me know what you think, and I'll help where it's useful to you.

side question, do we know what happened to RSSS? I worked wtih him on mapping the vortex cdi, but haven't seen him in years.

I will pull it off this winter and we can touch base and see what options you might have.  I've seen the components you use, pretty awesome to have sourced that stuff!

You are correct that Michael is no longer with us, pretty sad what happened. RSSS396 / Dave is still out there though I think he's 99% into cars these days.  You can find him on Facebook.
