Just purchased an 88 250r, needs some freshening up but the price was right at 1600 so I was happy with it. My names Tommy, 24,from St. Louis. Looking forward to getting this thing running good and learning more about the 250.

was waiting for photobucket to upload the ones i have.

things currently on order are new silencer, exhaust seal/springs, steering stem bushing and bearing, new grips, head light bulb and looking at a arm bushings as these are shot. I have receipts for of $3000 in motor work in 2012 although i think i may re ring it anyway and im currently going through and cleaning the carb the guy said he didn't do much but putt around his subdivision on it.. What do you think? I think 1600 was a pretty good price.

Well considering those plastics, if cleaned up nice, and no breaks anywhere, are worth about 6-800, id say you did pretty well! I'd look into aftermarket arms, rather than replacing bushings and ball joints. Can probably grab a nice set of +2's for 250 shipped.
I ride PINNED! Therefore, no bdt in this household.

tergin motorsports out of jefferson city mo did all the work. looking at the recepits it has the following
piston- wiseco prt#562m0660
rod- hot rod 422205
resleeved stock jug with h5032 sleeve
moose billet clutch basket and moose friction plates
new left crank case cover
13tooth front sprocket
and a bunch of other misc bearings bolts gaskets. it looks as if it had the whole trans gone through and inspected.
Also has a fmf pipe, v force reeds, uni air filter new chain, ricks motorsports cdi, and ims larger fuel tank.

Anyhting in particular i should look at before i start beating on it, doing the basic bushings carb, and stuff now. Im going to get it running with a proper exhaust before i decided if i want to re ring it or not.
