Author Topic: TORN (Texas Off Road Nationals) Round 5 - June 21/22 (Read 2818 times)

Hey guys. Just wanted to throw this out there if any of ya'll are in the area.
TORN is having their next round in Bulcher, TX (boarder of Oklahoma and Texas at Red River Motorcycle Trails) this weekend. Quads race on Saturday. Practice is from 7:30am-11am. Races start at 1pm. It's a combined race with OCCRA (Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association) so there is quiet a large turn out. I think there was over 500 bike entries and about a hundred quad entries last year.
If anyone shows up, look me up. #326 on yellow and black '87 250R in Over 30B class.

Well no good news to report from last weekends race. Smacked a tree and busted my lower ball joint on my 2nd practice lap. 1st time in 3 years I've haven't made a race due to mechanical issues. Needless to say I couldn't find one that would fit it to start the race. It turned out to be a nice day too. Upper 80's and overcast for the most part. Really bummed. And we're on break for the summer so the next race isn't till September 6th.
On a totally unrelated note...anyone know where to get ball joints for Houser A-arms for an '87 R?

Got a pic? I'm guessing they take the standard Moog ball joints like most other aftermarket arms

That sucks on the wreck, but that's a big part of XC racing. Shit happens

I already pulled the ball joint off to try and match up at O'Reilly's. They're ordering one up to try. These are Houser arms, right?
