Author Topic: Need some ideas on what to do with my parts R (Read 2169 times)

So I've got this '87 250 R laying around but I don't know what to do with it. I already have a race-ready XC R so I don't really want another one (can't afford another build). I tried parting it out but it's pretty much just stock parts left. It was my old TRX250R/CR500 hybrid. I sold off the motor and used the good parts off it on my race bike now. This is what I'm left with and I don't know what to do with it. I thought about donating it to my brother so he can build up a 250R but after the cost of just assembling the motor and parts to make it run, it's almost be cheaper to just buy a running one. There's always a few around here for $1,500-$2,000.
So I'm left with this and no idea what to do with it. I don't want to metal scrap it. Can't afford another build. Not worth rebuilding and selling. What other options are there?

Sell it on here. Even if you sell each part for 1/4 of it's worth, it's doing more for you than sitting there. I've sold axles and whatnot for $30 shipped to just get rid of them.

Or you can tear it down, box it all up(to fit in a dodge journey, meet my inlaws somewhere by tomorrow and they'll bring it to MI for me(they leave tomorrow for here lol). I'd paypal you a couple/few hundred for it.

Put it on Craigs list for $500. Or sell it to pinned so he can give me the stock Axel:)

Ship it to me, I have most of the parts to make it complete again, not nice, but complete.

strip it down and build a puma for it
