Hey guys been a member about a month and finally got around to uploading pics off the phone to get this thread going. About six months ago I bought my first quad, a 86 TRX250R. I have always rode but it was limited to my buddy's quad or back from when I was a kid. This quad is a whole new ballgame and I like it. I will be honest and admit that at first it kinda scared the shiznit out of me. Now that I am used to it, the qualities that made me feel on the edge (high clutch use, the way the tires break free, sick powerband) now are the things that I feel set this bike apart. Everyone knows when I come back to camp :devilish:. Anyways I have been lurking on this site for a few months and really like the info and the community vibe here so I signed up. I got a good deal but this quad will be a true labor of love. It's mostly bone stock besides a few bolt-ons and lights so I will probable ask a few questions in the future. I'll try posting some pics in a sec.

Not yet. Used to go to the cinders all the time but I can't wait to see how this thing rips in the sand! Now I ride mostly in the desert around lake pleasant cause its near my house.

The riding around phx from September to about march is awesome. Glamis is great riding but the two times I went the blm harassed us the entire time. They ruined both trips I've took glamis. Try local spots first IMO.

Thanks guys. Last weekend we went up north near munds park and camped/tore up the trails for four days. I can't wait for it to cool down a bit so we don't have to go so far to ride. It is beautiful though.

I actually live up in anthem about ten miles north of phoenix off of I 17. I know what area you are talking about, near the 303 right? That area is like mine where all it takes is a 3 min truck ride, unload, and ride all day.
Thanks F-red, that is the view overlooking oak creek canyon. I was a little rough on my r but the views were worth it.
