got my jetting all figured out and it runs better than ever with the new 310 PV but when i went to up my idle just a bit more the idle screw just snapped off and now i cant get the rest of it out it just keeps breaking off. Any body else seen this? i think the spring was bound up too much not really sure. can i carefully drill the rest of it out or maybe take the cab off and melt it out with a soldering iron then run a tap thru it. just dont wont to screw up the new carb. thanks guys.

you should be able to drill it and use an easy out/extractor. it's plastic, you could probably cut a notch it and use a screwdriver to back it out. just go slow and you wont hurt anything.
best regards

plastic screw should be extremely easy to take out. just drill correct size hole and use easy out, or go buy a reverse fluted drill bit 50%75% size of the plastic screw and as it cuts it should turn it out

ive tried the eazy out and it just breaks apart. ive got it drilled thru now and am going to use a small hand drill and take it as close to the threads as i can then run a tap thru it. i think when i screwed it in it knarled the threads of the screw and thats why i cant get it to screw back out. thanks for all the input guys.

I would use a drill bit, but turn it by hand. Pick the rest out with a dental pick.
