im going to. i only have one air filter at the moment so i am waiting until i get a new one just in case it ruins the filter.

I would think it would work fine. If you're doing just for the price, degreasers like purple power and oil eater in the gallon containers are cheaper per ounce. I keep a gallon sized garden sprayer of 50/50 water/ purple power on hand and clean everything from the truck tires to the entire quad including the filter.

Let us know how it works, I've always used mineral spirits in a spray bottle, cheap as heck and a gallon lasts forever
