Aluminum Airbox Mounts

I ripped this idea off from Troybilt. I saw that he used brake line clamps to mount the front of his airbox. I didn't see how they were mounted to the box though. The problem is the frame rails aren't perpendicular to the front of the box so I couldn't bolt them directly to the box. I got some Alba clamps that have a 1"hole and use rubber to size down to 3/4". I got some 3/8" diam rod and welded it to the airbox sticking out parallel with the frame rails. I had to drill out the small hole in the clamps. Now the front of the box is rubber mounted. The rear mount has always been rubber. I hope it holds. The crappy little clamps I had on there broke every time.
I'll let you know if it works

are you running the oem snorkel tubes on that set up?  reason I ask...I have never seen an aluminum air box (mass produced) with the snorkel tube cutout.

No Sir. I'm not sure why Timmy Boy put that tube in there when the top of the unit is wide open but I had him make two and they were same same.
