im trying to decide if it would b a disappointment to put 450r shocks on my woods quad or anything aftermarket under 600 like the elka stage1 or works steelers?? im getting aftermarket a-arms and that's the other question is plus 3 long travel or what should I go with I ride mainly woods  ,xc ..? I have raced and ridden every quad out the almost but they were always built for me ,, now I have 3 years and $ so im going to build my own.... so im open to anything the rear end don't seem too bad meaning lengtrh its a stock 86 stock shock.... its a frame right now it was a decent 86 that ran strong  I just tore it apart

Yes 450 shocks can work but your front end wil be high. Those shocks are the wrong length.
For a woods quad I would not go with +3s. I would stay stock width or +1. Long travel is a bit over kill but that is up to you. You do not get longer travel with LT shocks. You get a longer body that holds more fluid so your shocks do not fade. Many aftermarket arms require different length shocks. Its best for you to find out what arms your are going to use then take measurement to find the correct length shock you need.

The most generic stock length shock is 16ΒΌ". If a Aarm calls for a stock length shock you should be good with that number.

I'd recommend the GT Suspension front shocks for $495
