When installing 3 petal boysen reeds on stock reed cage, should the stock metal piece be used?
When using a boysen reed cage with 2 large slots, will the 3 petal boysen reeds work, or do power reeds need to be used?

If the new reed petals came with two little metal strip, then no you wouldnt need to install the metal reed stops back in place. You could if you wanted to, re-install the reed stops with the new reeds, just leave off the two little metal strips Boysene supplied in the package.
