Got these 2gen Fox float x evol shocks for my R, there off a 450r so far they feel great haven't had the time to take her out and really do some riding. Is anyone else using fox shocks , around here there not a common shock to run on the R but im having my axis rebuilt so Im riding these for a while. The air adjustability is nice they feel plush and they seem to soak up my 200lbs a** real good, what do you guys think run these or not?

They look too long, but norris quinn or andy maul could fix that and you would have a great setup. I like axis also though.

The problem with that is that most of that extra length is body length so you have changed your bottom out height. Basically your shock is going to bottom way before the frame gets to what should be its lowest point. Essentially you are running a taller bike for no reason. Also the rear is going to bottom where its supposed to, so if you were to bottom the bike completely at once the front end would be pointed upwards. Hope that makes sense.

I've always thought that someone should make arms for 450r length shocks.

I believe the new lsr arms take a long shock. I have also discussed this with a couple companies and maybe some new stuff will come out soon? Never know.
