Hello I'm currently rebuilding a set of Gibson a arms I'm unsure of how to set the clip that goes below the bearing. It looks like it could possibly turn in but I don't want to force it or bend it being I don't have any spares.im going to attach two pictures.thank you for any help.

hey Action69, I did not know Gibson arms were that way....what you have is a Spiral Retaining Ring.  Installation is easy.....easier to check out the video than for me to type....

Spares can be purchased/sourced from your local bearing distributor, Grainger or McMaster Carr.

Those clips came with the new bearings I bought for the gibsons from k&k atv .im also currently rebuilding a set of Walsh a arms and they use the same style bearings with c clips.if these spherical clips give me a tough Time going in do you think c clips would work?thanks for any input.

i would think a snap ring would work you would need the correct thickness imo.  just make sure you install what ya have correctly .

I have a set of a-arms in a parts lot that look home made & they have the same bearing end your gibsons have. They used a c-clip on them & they were tack welded in because it looks like they were trying to push out. It makes me think Gibson uses the spherical retaining ring to prevent them from pushing out & being a full 360 degree clip instead of having an open end like a c-clip it seems like they would be stronger as well. Just my .02
