I can't backup any gains, but IMO the dual plug setup should increase the speed of combustion due to 2 flame fronts expanding, meaning less advance in ign timing should be needed.(my motor seams to follow this theory)
Less ign timing added means less pressure is seen by the piston on the upstroke. It has been seen with high end test equipment that our motors even running perfect misfire much more than we would believe, so maybe a second plug would have lit off the mixture lessening misfires
But ultimately dyno and field testing proves or disproves theory as we all know.
