Well I just placed an order with RMATV for everything I need to fire up the quad this week. I'm gonna go ahead and slap the Sparks back on it for now, but will be temporary while I save up for a custom DASA.

Awww man believe me I think you have a very nice Walsh...but 2 things that will keep me from considering your bike is I'm now where near having the funds to offer you for an awesome bike and second I'm more of a 4 stroke guy than a 2 stroke. I don't mean ANY disrespect to 2 strokes at all, but I'm pretty much clueless when it comes down to them and the motors and Even if it was a YZ or CRF, I'd be dreaming of taking it off your hands....

Well I got a nice surprise in the mail today! I got my shocks back from Custom AXIS and a box from RMATV for the remainder of the parts to get the motor fired up. Made a run down to my local bike shop here in town, Supernova cycles and bought fluids, chain and a plug.....I happened to run into some new 2014 Troy Lee Designs gear that I figured would come in handy at some point also LOL...

I made an attempt to finish the Sparks in the home brew VHT high temp ceramic rattle can. It looks good, but I'm not sure how it will hold up so we'll see. If anything, I'll just wire bush it off to bae finish again.

I'll have more pics tomorrow of everything installed and hopefully the motor will crank on the first kick.

Triple adjust piggyback front conversion and rear PRS conversion.

Looks OK but the true test will see if it holds up.

IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

Well the motor cranked over on the 4th kick which was very satisfying haha. Never had to check the timing, spark or fuel. The exhaust sounds much better also now with the brand new packing. It's just a matter of breaking the motor in now.

I'd say it's about 90% done. Still need all the cosmetics, front brake line clamps and brakes bled.

Thanks!

Im gonna go go with a new Laker rear in red and the Fullbore front in white with a CF Quadtech hood. I've never done a two tone look so I'm hoping it looks good, but Sam at Dirt Fiend Racing is an amazing graphics designer so I'm sure he'll make it all come together.

Beautiful looking hybrid man. Making me want to pick one up someday.

I saw previously that you were thinking about having Baldwin do your motor work. From what i've been hearing from people in Baldwin does lackluster work for the ordinary average racer. Again just speculation and hearsay but i've heard rumblings about them from more than one person

Thanks for the heads ups man. Only real reason I considered Baldwin to begin with is I figured he has plenty of experience with these CRF heads. Honestly I'd probably consider Sparks before them. When the time comes though, it'll probably end up being DASA or Racers Edge that I go with...but that'll be next summer probably.
