LRD 300 pro-x jug 72mm
« on: September 04, 2013, 05:37:11 PM »
I have an LRD ported 300 (310) pro-x cylinder at 72.25mm for sale. Should go 3 more bores.  Would like to get back what I have into it 400$.  If that's a crazy number please let me know people.  I think it's pretty fair.  Number engraved on the jug is 14870798.  Per Arlan at led it is an MX port with a 30cc race gas dome.

Needs to be bored or honed, you make he call. I always freshen anything up I buy. Not sure what its ported for but I have numbers off from it that you can call arlan and ask him.  It has non interchangeable dome head so I am unsure of the cc of the dome.

You got pics of everything that is not important. Where's the pics of port work?

Here tony, let me setup my Kodak studio. Lol. Best I can do with a phone.  I can tell you, it doesn't looked touched since Arlan ported it, I've seen "touch up" or "re-ports" and it looks very original.   If I was at work I could get the Borescope in there and show you anything you wanted but its a freakin iPhone.

Its just that 95% of the people selling cylinders do not flip it over a take pics. No studio required. We all know what a pro-x cylinder looks like on the outside. Its the insides that are different.

For those of you who have never seen a ported cylinder for sale and I'm almost a 100% sure these will sell this jug for 100$ more than my asking price:
Oh and when can I expect to receive payment Tony? Oh, wait, your not interested you just want to be a Carlos?   And please, since we have ALL seen a pro-x port layout before, please educate us Tony as to what this is ported for now that you have seen the ports.

You are real funny, carlos could not tell his azz from a hole in the ground. Why are the pics so big? Were we supposed to have a degree wheel in our hands to tell you the port timings?

Nevertheless, the builder spent alot on time pro flo porting the cylinder as you can see. Can't see Carlos's work because it is a lie and hidden from sight as is all work done for him. After porting comes the task of roughing up the cylinder which looks to be nicely done. Don't know anything about porting but you want pictures 8-10 inches away so you can see the relative size of what you are looking at. The internal pics are real good though!

The cylinder was ported for MX. I set it up with a 30cc dome. It was intended to run on race gas. I ported that cylinder in July of 1998. Our later cylinders did not have a bridged exhaust port and ran a lot harder.
That was the 1487th cylinder that I had ported. I guess I was still a beginner back then! I am over 4300 now. That is a big pile of ground aluminum and cast iron filings I am standing on! lol
