The new transformations are just beautiful. The old frames with new suspension and motor technology make me wish it was 1985 with 2013 technology.

Not sure if you are refering to the TPC or something else, but TPC's are all new, frame included. No old school parts involved

its not rocket science and if you search around you will find that they take a swazall to the trz frame and cut it in half,, then add to whats left to built the front half .   there has always been talk of a complete cromoly frame but as I have not seen anything yet to show there has been one built . big news like that usually is all over when it happens.

LOL, How many are out there now  :confused-new:   I didn't realize you have been to my shop and seen how we do it.  :disillusionment:  I guess that's why you're using a bike frame :p

It's not a bad idea. If you can, on a 27 year old frame, I sure would.

like I said its not rocket science,,  over the years you have posted several picts of you and others cutting up trx450r's with a sawzall,,  its also common knowledge you use the rear half of the trx450r frame with the suspension and subframe points all intact ,,,  there are a lot of very smart people here who pretty well know what it takes to build a project like this,  and most probably already know its your design added to a section of frame which is a production Honda part, as for the complete cromoly frame built by you,,,,,,  like I said if it was a reality.. it would be common knowledge too,,,

What's the matter, things slowed down at 3W.O since I am no longer there so your trying to pick a fight here :sign0108: Your common knowledge is based on internet forum information. Why do you care how I build them?

Puma thought I used old 85/86 frames so I corrected him.

Do I use part of the TRX frame on most builds, yea sure do. No point in rebuilding the same thing. A little FYI for you. Most frame builders outsource parts to. http://www.jjandaracing.com/contents/en-us/d15.html Shock mounts, engine tabs, steering tubes, Swingram builders out source the piviot area and axle carrier. Nick Nicholson built custom ATC frames and Honda supplied all the gussets, neck, and all stamped parts. All he did was bend and weld the round tube. So, what's your point.

Chromoly frame. You have no idea whats in my shop. I have one sitting on the floor right now. Someday I want to replace my original "half-breed" frame. Problem is, all the original frame does is keep winning ;) 6 years ruuning and no problems yet. It's kinda a testiment and how good they are :P  Truth is though Chromoly is not really the best material for a ATV frame. It's is heavier, and to hard. Whereas DOM will flex and not crack like Chromoly does. But, I leave that option up to the buyer. They get what they ask for. I have had only two people order chromoly and those builds are being done at the owners place/time. I have no control over when they finish their trikes. When I get pics, sometimes I post them.  You really want to see a chromoly frame...buy one :)

Of course I could have taken the easy way out and used a bike frame...but those things never handle well. I stick to my race proven ways though :biggrin-new:

p.s. the sawsall...that was all for shock value, nothing like seeing a brand new quad chopped in half :cower:

Well the thread is about showing trikes, not getting into detail about TPC's. I wasn't trying to avoid anything, just respecting the original intent.

Now let see more trike pics.
