It really is. My dad had to take a medical retirement from his job as a welder. After climbing in and out of military tanks for so many years and welding overhead, his neck and back were just wasted. He's been down and out for quite some time now and it's really cool to seem something bring so much excitement to him again. He even told me last night that he's finally got a reason to want to get out of the house and lose weight even though this thing has the power to drag his big @$$ around, lol. I just hope he takes it easy and remembers in the back of his mind that he isn't in his 30's because he used to be pretty fearless.

So did your dad work at the Stryker assembly plant in Lima? Cool to hear of an old guy getting a Zilla, my dad never would. Hope you guys have fun.

He worked at the plant in Lima where they built the M1A1 and then the M1A2 tanks. It might be the same place. My mom worked there too and just retired at the beginning of this year after 30 years.

I went over there today to work on mine some and asked him. He said they did work on the Stryker at his plant some. Not from scratch but there was some assembly done there. Today was pretty cool. My dad didn't want to leave the garage the entire time I was there even though he had people calling wanting him to go do other things. He kept saying, "me and the boy are working on our quads". Kinda weird to hear when I'm 41 years old, but it was a good feeling. He polished his Quadzilla up and talked about things we used to do while I was ripping the 89 down a little and getting it ready to put back together. Definitely good times.

Awesome man, I wish my dad would of done stuff like that with me. But they didn't like me having quads at all, and after my accident they told me to get rid of them. I found out later they were gonna sell them while I was in the hospital and my uncle told them not to touch my passion and pride I had with them quads.

Yea, it was cool. I mean, even back when we raced he didn't put so much effort into spending time with me so it really is different. He even said something about making sure I got my R up and running. Not sure what he meant by that but he did try to help me today as much as he could. It was just awesome spending time together.
