My new babies... ATC 70's
« on: October 21, 2013, 07:24:24 PM »
Picked the first one up from a friend and and it came with an extra roller frame. Ended up having to buy a new carb for it since the original was shot. Changed the rear decals and put a new seat and a with a little tuning it runs great.  It's a 1985.
Before

After

I picked my next (1984) one up not running but in good condition. Even came with a new front tire. I pulled the tank off to find a bent frame, pretty common on these and easy to fix though. The tank is awesome, no dents and very minimal rust in it, which is hard to come by.

Yep, I drained the tank and carb out of the one I have running and will buy new fuel tomorrow. I want to re-do and liner the metal tank soon then I'll try to fire #2 off. My boys love them lol

Nope, but I'm sure I'll find out lol. I downloaded and printed the honda service manual for the 85 recently. Shouldn't be different.

Please keep me updated when...or if you pull the rear axle bearings.

rear bearings are very easy,,  the axle nuts hold the axle in  pull the hubs and the sleeves ,, the sprocket and brake drum just slide on the axle,, and it slides right out of the bearings,,,   bearing house numbers on the bearing is 6006
