Yes, you have the flat spherical bearing at the end of the push rod. That means its the 89 version.
Hey thanks, One more thing not to worry about!!

I have been polishing my caliper, not as bad as I first thought... I will post pictures when I'm done with it.. I saw this locknut on ebay a while ago and really liked it, so this week I ordered one, I really like it!

Well warmed up a bit and was able to do a little work..I wanted to share something that was kinda funny... I needed to find some bearings for my stock chain rollers because they looked really good still and I wanted to use them. The bearing size is the same as a skateboard and rollerblade bearings...608's. Anyway I found a set of 8 bearings for 3.84 shipped to my HOUSE. This is 2 sets the sheilds are red too....the little bracket got painted..cleaned up the bolts..

I put new seals in my caliper and put the pistons in, I did the final polish on it.......I plan on using some blue anodized bolts to show some contrast. I'll get better pics when I can push it outside...its rainin....yuck.

I installed my lock nut on the axle....it seems the threaded sleeve is a tad short, it looks like the 85 version is different. The one I have is 30mm wide, if someone reads this and has a trx sleeve lying around....can you measure it for me?? thanks

Update, I'm working on the cases currently...needed a spot weld or two several new bearings and a bead blasting and paint. The cases should go together in a week or two. I am boring my cylinder to 87mm with new wiseco. I scored a nice low hour crank. One of my biggest problems has been finding a shock shaft in good order...rusty, rusty. I am going to send one to the west coast and have one ground and rechromed. I have plans to buy a new radiator after seeing how cheap they are. More updates asap..

So I've been buffing on my tank for 2 weeks it seems...I'm to the point that I am happy. I used 600 grit and wet sanded..then used a 6" bottet in my drill with chrome polish, mothers polish and some car polish turned out much better than I ever thought possible..topped it off with a new cap and bam!!
