I'm thinking about having a bunch of parts powdered and was curious if anybody has ever done a set of wheels or nerf bars, and if so how well did they hold up??  I figure the wheels would be ok as long as they don't get messed up in the mounting process. As for the nerfs I don't know? I think it would look sick and the pegs should be the only spot that would get rubbed off from your boots, and maybe the underside a little but you wouldn't really see that...... What do you guys think??

I had pc'd tt wheels and obviosly they held up for that (lol), and my powder guy has a tire machine so no issues there. Currently I have pc'd nerf bars but not enough time on them to know about durability, pegs are still stainless though

I did the nerfs, pegs, heels on my 450, it holds up pretty good. So far just the teeth of the pegs are showing ware(1season rec riding).
Wheels hold up good...until I loaded up one year and set the quads to close to each other and they rub. I just sharpie the marks every now an then.

Cool this is what I want to hear!! I'm wanting to do alot of my polished mainly aluminum parts in a smoked chrome powder. I think it will look sick but didn't know about durability. I figured it would be ok since I've had my frame done for 3 years now and the bottom is still in good shape for the most part! Has a few marks/smudges but no chips or anything like that. If you guys could post pics of wheels or nerfs that be awesome. Give me a better idea how they will turn out!

When the nerfs where black they chipped up a little from trees an what not. But being silver now you cant hardly tell. I'll take a pic of a black rim that got mared up from rubbing tonight.

Thanks guys.... Definitely helps make my decision! My goal is to do away with as much polishing as possible while still mat aiming that clean shinny look! I love the look of polished aluminum but absolutely hate polishing parts and simply don't have time for it anymore.

I'll tell you that my kicker is powdered by myself and it's great. Now it does have nicks on it but that's from me hitting it with a rock when it stuck. You'll be happy with powder over paint any day of the week. I'd do my nerfs myself but they don't fit in my oven!

About smoke chrome. Also look at solar rain. It's another black chrome type of color.
