Quick Release Fender Clips

Has anyone installed a quick release system for the front clip of the R?  My RC car got me thinking about it.  I remember seeing something about the new YFZr having something like this factory.  Not trying to install a Walsh system.

Ace Hardware sells the stainless posts and pins, they could easily be welded to the upper fender brackets and still bolt the bracket to the frame.

That's kinda what I had in mind except to use the D rings quick release pins instead of the regular clamp style pins.  Thanks again guys.  Pictures always help.

I also have a set of black Fullbores that have Dzeus fastners, not the best option imo.

05450r I totally stole those pictures from your thread. Those would be perfect with rubber grommets. I also tried dzus fasteners. What didn't you like about them?

Steal away, hopefully it helps!. They dzus, even though they work fine, was just not as simple of a setup as I wanted. Plus the male end had to be riveted onto the fenders so if I ever wanted to mount them on something else I'd have to remove them and be left with the holes. Atleast with the post/pin style, the two mount holes are unchanged.
Another thing, those rad. shrouds that Bnau bought from me have enlarged mounting holes with rubber grommets so they soak up the vibrations reducing the chances of the mounts cracking and rubbing the powder.
