Once you cut that off and open in up your changing the originally designed airflow of the Boysen to the intake airflow of the Upp. Dont get me wrong, Ive used several Rad Valves, and I like the design for easy bolt on and go, but Ive had better luck with Cr250. Use a Upp with that cage and get a nice setup, of course the V-force guys will always prefer that cage. Not trying to de-rail or argue the subject, Imo it will have a negative impact on its originally designed airflow
