It was on the bike when I got it. I took it off an remounted it with fresh pads, rotor, and rotor guard only.

I ended up welding material onto my brake stay so I could use the crf caliper. Also had to grind on the caliper t Oil get the spacing on the rotor correct. I Also wish I hadn't went with this alternative caliper. I think I will try the yz caliper.

Vroomy can you post some pics of the bracket ? What is the Hole spacing Center to Center ? Is it the Bracket that wont bolt up to the caliper mount ? How far is it off ? We'll figure something out for ya! Hate to hear of a brother out $200!!!

The Caliper Bracket hole spacing looks a lot closer than this one from RK88R :(

I'm betting you need Item #13 on this fische - It's from a 2004 Crf450R - Do you know anyone with a 2004 Crf450R ?

http://www.cyclepartsnation.com/oemparts/a/hon/5053f88af870021c54be8a80/front-brake-caliper

Can you return the one you bought and exchange it for Part# 45190-KZ4-J21

If you enter the Part# here http://www.cyclepartsnation.com/oemparts/partsearch/honda  then select the "Where Used" button it will give you all the models that use that bracket.....hopefully that will help.

Well I pulled the trigger and ordered a '02 Cr250R Front Caliper & Bracket - (45190-KZ4-J21 bracket part#) So I will see for myself what all is involved to adapt this to our bikes. I'll be sure to take lots of pics and do a write up. The Calipers themselves are available on a wide assortment of recent HONDA bikes.....so availability is easy. What I would like to do is design & Fabricate a mounting bracket that will adapt this caliper to the 250R support plate.....Stay tuned!! :)

Isn't that what the dream brake stay is for? Allow use of the crf caliper?

looking at this, there is an adapter plate, showing there should be another mounting hole up closer near the bleeder valve (beige circled area), compared to the mounting holes referenced by the red circles. hopefully the other caliper bracket works for you! let us know!

NPM is making a billet brake stay for me.  It will run the trx450 caliper.  He is in the design phase but I already committed to buy 2.  I sent him my r brake stay and he has the 450 caliper so he's on his way.  I'll keep you all posted as he works on this.

I used a trx450 Blingstar rotor guard and caliper when I did my rear brake swap. Worked very good. No Fab. Just bolt up. Did require a washer between the rotor guard and caliper for proper alignment.
