so we all know that Fullbore is a no go (for the time being..fingers crossed) and I have to do something in the mean time as far as a hood to go with some oem/maier fenders that I'm going to run.  looking at what Maier use to offer as far as the Fullbore front "look" I found the hood that had one vent in it.  of course it is discontinued and I cannot find a new one so I decided to put my money where my mouth is and I contacted Maier.  I asked them about making the hood in Fighting Red.  sure enough they still have the mold and they will make them for me but I have to purchase 10 of them.  I am also going to order 10 white and 10 black.  they are not going to release to the public again. they quoted me a price of $67.87 each for the fighting red (they did not say if this was the shipped price).  I'm going to try and negotiate a price break (calling them Monday) for ordering the white and black ones also. i think this hood in Fighting Red with new Fighting Red fenders will look bad a$$.  this is the hood I'm having made again:

croat1 - I would buy one to help you out.  However, do you want to try Jay at Fourwerx.  They make Red and White fiberglass hoods for FB fenders $139.  I bought the smooth CF hood for the OEM/Maiers which is a little more.  They have the style you want but for FBs.  I'd be in on a Fourwerx hood or maybe two if you want to head down that path.  I realize the CF cost $100 more than the Maiers but they mount like the stock hoods and the quality is exceptional.  Jay may be open to work with us to create what we want - CF or Fiberglass.

croat1 - while you have them on the phone ask how many fender sets need to be bought for a custom color run.  I want Kawasaki Green full fenders.

the problem with going with CF/fiberglass parts is that I'm a woods rider....  the hood would be ruined in 5 minutes.

last I heard is that Maier requires at least 5 sets of fenders to be ordered for a "non-stock" color.  I will verify the info again.

Understood.  You can count me in for (1) Fighting Red.  Curious to hear what they say about Kawasaki Green full fender sets.  The old Roll/Kawasaki GNCC bikes looked awesome.

I finally had some time to contact Maier on the phone this past week.  there is a 10 piece minimum on any color ordered.  price listed does not include shipping. they would not negotiate a price. one month time frame on manufacturing.  I believe I'm going to purchase everything I mentioned in one shot (still going sleep on it for a day or two).

as far as a custom color run: 5 set minimum order on any non standard fender set.  i did not get into much detail but the sales person said they would run any color as long as they had it.  seems like a lot of guys at any given time were asking about getting silver made.

is going to a GO on the purchase.  20 hoods is going to be $1357.50 plus $50 shipped for all of them to my door.  its 4:30am and I just got home from work.  I have to start work at noon (meetings and training).  If I can sneak out for a break I'm going to order..if not the order will be placed Friday morning.  ordering 10 Figthing Red and 10 Black.  I am going to order the white hoods at the end of the month....out of cash right now.  I am keeping 2 of each.  all the other ones are up for grabs.  some have been spoken for here in this thread and others by pm and emails.  I will put how many are  "SOLD" when I review my emails/pm's.

side note: there was no price break for ordering 10+.  the price is what it is.  they wanted the full amount payed up front.  I tried to negotiate 1/2 up front and the balance payed when completed and they said no.

thanks for the interest and the somewhat long response from me.
