Switching Axles Between an 86 and and 88

I want to switch the axles between my 86 woods quad and my 88 mx quad. I'm thinking it should be pretty straight forward, and everything should switch out easily. Just want to make sure there's not something I'm not thinking about here....Hubby won't be too thrilled if we take everything apart and find out that I didn't think something through correctly. :D

I'd just be switching the axles and matching sprocket hubs, nothing else...Both quads have the same anti-fade nut on them and both have LSR bearing carriers, one's just a lot newer than the other, lol. One axle is a little wider, but it shouldn't matter because the A-arms are the same on both quads, and I've raced them both with the woods tires.

I'm just trying to put the better stuff on my woods bike since it's gets ridden a lot more and takes a lot more punishment. Plus the few local mx races I run are pretty short races.

Shouldn't be a problem. I had some troubles many moons ago with a swap, but I think it was an '85 atc to trx swap.

Agreed TRX are interchangeable for all years, you start getting into problems switching the the 400EX axle.
