Anybody know if TRX 250r clutches are the same as any other bike, like the CR 250R? If so, there are several models that would work.

CR250 clutch plates are too big. But 400EX plates are the same size right?

This would be awesome if we could get one made for us.

The ESR ones will work. I asked them this specifically as that is what I have. They require your clutch setup: clutch plates, fibers, and and clutch basket.

Let us know how it works out for you.

You still have to shift, you can use the manual clutch to shift, or just relax the throttle to up shift, and blip to down shift.

The downshifting would take some getting used to!

Who's going to be the guinea pig and try this in the R?   rablack21 :D

You are a funny man OJ! I would love to have one but don't have the money for it right now. I agree Kyle, not using the clutch is pretty awesome. Plus, it is impossible to stall it. You could come to a complete stop in 4th gear without the clutch and it won't kill the motor.

Pretty straight forward. I was able to ride longer harder, racing through the woods i could slam on the brakes and work the throttle all i wanted to as hard and as fast as i needed to in order to keep pace.  No stalling or slipping the clutch to get up the big hills. This was on a 450 4 poke mind you, but it was amazing.  Especially after you start to fatigue, it can be hard to get the clutch covered in time when accelerating and braking so abruptly between the trees.

I can ride the 450 and shift without clutch. Works the same on the 250r. You must be saying you were able to shift under extreme power without the clutch?

No, im saying while locking up the brakes, and not matching revs.  Anything you want,  I can come sliding into a corner wheels locked becasue i came in hot, slam the shifter down or up and roll on the throttle without ever touching the clutch.

If your just play riding in the woods, a auto clutch wouldnt be much benefit IMHO other than convinence, but when your pushing it hard and racing, and you start to fatigue from working the clutch a lot, mistakes can happen and you can lock up the rears coming into a corner before you get the clutch pulled in causing a stall.

Thanks for the info burns.  It sounds like a badass setup for racing.. not sure it'd be much benefit in the dunes but would be cool!

I loved it on my KTM powered Outlaw....roll to a stop in 3rd gear and hammer it and took off like a bat out of hell.
