Great dirt wheels subscription offer
« on: March 17, 2014, 09:23:53 AM »
I ordered another 12 months subscription for Dirt wheels back in Feb and they had an offer to receive a 25$ gift card with the purchase of the mag. The year subs was like 16-18$. Well I got my card finally last week and used it today. I think that's a pretty good deal. I saved/made money ordering their mag and got some oil and a few other things I needed from RMATV.

Passing the info along.

I also saw this and plan to re-new my subsciption as well. I don't really care for DW too much anymore even though I've been a subscriber for 20 years haha. It just seems like all they want to talk about is the UTV's and what not now. I think the best mag out was ATV Sport but that's since folded.

Bummer to hear about being filled with UTV's.  What about ATV Action.. has that gone towards UTV's too?

Ya pretty much. I understand why, those are all the rage now but I truthfully don't care about them in the least. I've ridden in them, drove them and have friends with them but I ALWAYS have more fun on my R or any quad in general.

Well, :tongue-new: it does say Dirt Wheels, but I aint never seen nobody make wheels out of dirt before. Been hit up side the head before with dirt clods, when I was a kid having dirt clod fights, but they never lasted to long.

Yeah, those UTVs are taking over, I guess from the OEMs hardly producing any quads different from what they already have, so it those UTVs that are selling right now. I'll say one thing, who evers buying those UTVs has got to have some money, cause they aint cheap.
One of the guys at Busco Beach & ATV park, has one kinda set up for racing & has over $30,000 in it. I believe I could build a dirt track car cheaper than that.

yeah I was at the Houston Rodeo and they had display of the new artic cat, course it was probably lifted a little bit and had mud tires on it - but seriously that thing was bigger than a jeep!  I told my son if we get one of these, for the $$ we will just buy a jeep and be better off

my favorite mag was QU4D, but it only lasted a couple years

All my buddies who jumped on the UTV craze and sold their quads are regretting it big time. Polaris and Can-Am don't have the best reputation as far as reliability goes and it really hurts the pocket book when you have to fix it.

I used to read Dirt Wheels every month but it got skinnier and skinnier every year with less interesting material. Motocross Action is still the best off-road mag out there. MXA is also a huge 2-stroke supporter whenever possible.

I remember when DW was bound together with staples through the spine, back when i used to be excited about getting a new issue and seeing the 250R, banshees, LT's, and tecates. No they turned all liberal on us lol
