Modify steering, NOT 250r-related...

I can't put on taller front tires, it's 4-wheel drive, I need all the tires to be the same size.

What I think I'll do is I'll modify one and test it and get it to where I want, then I'll make a complete new one.  I'll spend a couple hundred bucks getting somebody with a water jet or some other machine-shop to cut the flat steel exactly how I want.  Then I'll take an old piece and cut the splined section out, put it on a lathe and true it to the dimension I want, and weld it all together.

I got no problem spending $300 to fix this issue.

Bugger.  Up until now I was throwing out possible scenarios and solutions because it was easier to get to this website than it was to get to the machine to test it, but all along I was hoping and expecting to find an easier solution.  I really thought I was going to get to the machine and find it had 3/4 inch of toe-out, which would easily explain the over-sensitive steering.

Nope,  I had just under a 1/2 inch of toe-in.  A quarter inch would probably better, but it's obviously NOT the cause of the over-sensitive steering.  It looks like I'm going to be exploring more exotic solutions.

And I double and triple-checked.  Aside from replacing the rear shock with something 2 inches shorter, I don't see any way to adjust the caster on this thing.
