wonky angled cut intake spacer ?????

my bike i bought has this spacer between the reeds and the intake boot. it is cut at 2 different sharp angles, the holes are obrounded so the intake bolts will still line up with the cylinder, and it even has corresponding angle cut spacers for the bolts so they sit on a flat surface. i tried taking it out and just putting the intake on the reed cage, and the angle of the intake boot is so sharp the carb would be sticking out the side of the bike. the wonky angle makes it so the carb is routed where it should be to begin with.

 why did whoever built this take the time to make this spacer and the angled washers just to be able to run this intake boot? i can only assume it is the wrong one, but why? and what would it be from? would just buying a upp intake boot allow me to get rid of this huge goofy spacer? it is literally almost an inch thick on the left side, and like 1/32 thick on the right side. heres some pics

To me that looks like an OEM intake manifold. Is it not? The reed spacer is pointless so just get rid of it. A UPP intake might solve your problem.

But we're gonna need some better pics of those parts taken off the bike. I can't tell how long or at what angle the intake manifold is in relation to the airbox boot

Maybe take the seat and tank off and take a picture straight down at the intake area

its not a reed spacer, as you can see it is behind the reeds, like i said it is cut like that just so the angle from the intake boot will route the carb where it needs to be. it looks like a stock intake boot to me, but it has a sharp angle that without that spacer, the carb sticks out the side of the bike
