i bought this '89 for a killer price. have always wanted an '88 and thought they were the best looking by far. so i am making it look like an '88 first. just refreshing things. powder coating a few things and so on. then the real point of the project comes once i have it as a clean everything good, replica '88.

heres how i got it. runs perfect, has v-force reeds, and an ESR center mount TRX5 set up. came with the airbox even though it isnt installed cuz of the center mount exhaust. has the original dash and everything is very tight. i really stole this thing! its very clean, no leaks no cracks no oil all over.

Just making progress each weekend on making it a solid trx before I bolt up a single rear tire. Love this thing

got my new rims and tires and new plastic to put on. They r maker fighting red. Very very nice I must say. I put all the decals on.

Darn, those maiers are looking nice. If fullbore doesnt get their act together by the time I'm ready for plastics, I now have no hesitation about getting maiers

here is the new plastic on and the new handle bar set up. small details to be taken care of next. (throttle cover, master cover, hardware etc...)

got the controls on the bars squared away. new hardware, and powder coated the throttle cover and sanded the "Honda" word to aluminum. also put on a moose master cover

be interested to hear more about the throttle cover that looks sweet, did you just paint it all then tape around the letters
