How big of carb for a 330?

My friend wants a 38mm and I would sell hime mine if its wirh it to upgrade to a 41.5. Does this carb fit in the stock boot and where should I look to buy one.

Went from a 38 to a 41.2 and it made a big difference.  Worth the money for me!!!

A 41.5mm carb is not too big for a 330 if it has a little work done to it.  You will need a different rubber manifold for the reed when using any of the big carbs.  Some guys will heat up theirs and stretch it, but the wall thickness is not thick enough to get the  down stream contours right with the stock rubber manifold.

Even after machining the back of the carb you will still have to stretch the carb to air box boot a little where it fits onto the carb.

I ride on private land which is all out full throttleand we have alot of ATV routs that are 35 mph on the roads. Pretty much everything besides

They seem to have the best price. Is the out side on a 41.5 all the same measurements as a 39? I got a machined 38 from ESR and a non machined one from another place. It fits fine.

I think LED has them,he did the boring on my 39mm not sure on cheapest pricing...but his customer service and tech help is 2nd to none....

Outside is the same
It starts out as a 39pwk
Then the inside gets cnc machined or milled depending on tooling and equipment used

I've used as big as 44mm lectron on a 301 and still seemed fine, if you mash the throttle from real low rpm it'll hiccup a bit but that's it.  Used Ftz's 39/41.5 Mikuni for a long time on a 310 and 330 and had no issues at all.

You can definitely use a 41.5.

Just remember:

bigger carb = more top-end, less bottom-end throttle response/power
smaller carb = less top-end, more bottom-end throttle response/power

The type of riding you do dictates what size carb you need to run
