01 cr250 ignition timing adjustment?

Is there any advantage to adjusting the timing on these ignition systems? Mine is on a well ported 250 running race gas. Just wondering if I should start playing with it or not. And which way to turn the plate? Thanks.

I saw that thread. Just wondering if there are noticeable gains in messing with the timing or not? All I have is my butt dyno............
