Ok so I installed my Esr clutch cover
At idle it doesn't leak but when I rev it leaks
New Mc seal,New oil seal ,New bearing,New porcelain seal
Headed to the coast Wednesday
Gonna stop at Eddies aswill

Ok since the waterpump stopped leaking
My question is what would cause it too leak at first then all of sudden seal up
Maybe there's something different I cam do next time
I cleaned the shaft real good,impellar ,bought new washers
And used all new seals and bearing
I've done Wp rebuilds before with success
This one was a pain in the butt

The water pump mechanical seal can be a super pain, many don't instal them correct and they always leak, some instal them correct and they still leak. Just super tricky. Sounds to me like it wasn't completely sealed, and then somehow it sealed up, wether it be due to the hear or whatnot, who knows.

The mechanical seal is a spring pushing a plate of steel lined with rubber against the porcelain. The spring allows one surfaces to flex while the other is held rigid. This is supposed to help the alignment of the 2 surfaces to seal 360 degrees. Lets say for example the rubber is not perfectly flat allowing water to pass by. And as it spins the rubber flexes and the seal is then created. Or a piece of dirt is on one surface you do not see. When put together the seal is held apart in one small location. Water still gets by. As the shaft turns the dirt is pushed aside out of the sealing surface and the seal is then created. I agree with its anyone's guess
