Well time to introduce myself, Active Duty Marine and 2 stroke fan
« on: September 16, 2014, 08:17:44 PM »
Well I am currently an active duty Marine, and a 2 stroke fan. I have been on both sides 4 stroke and 2 stroke but after finally popping a 4 stroke motor and getting a parts list together I decided to return to my roots. My current stable includes a 1989 TRX250R mostly stock, 450R front shocks, 4 gallon tank, PTR TRX Type 6  pipe and thats about it for now. I want to gusset it and do full  suspension and a 310BB PV motor. I mostly ride MX, Woods and Trails. My  other toys include a 90% restored 1987 LT250R, 2001 Blaster for the  wife, and 3 LT80's for my boys. I am starting a small collection to help  preserve the old school 2 strokes so my kids 3 & 6 can see what I  started on. My collection will eventually include a CR500, TRX250R,  ATC250R, LT500R, LT250R and maybe a Tecate.

Welcome drtydzel to TRX250R.Org & as they youst to say on Hee Haw TV show, "SALUTE" for your service to our country brother.
I see you have 3 locations listed & thoses pics with the red clay, kinda say maybe NC, so if your in J ville I'm right up the road from you a ways. If you need any 2 stroke help, I'm right here.
Far as racing goes, wife & me operate the local East Coast EDT (TT) series as well as being board members for the AMA/ATVA EDT Championship series, if you might be interested in trying your hand at that type of racing.
You can check us out on our local & national web sites, http://www.eastcoastedt.com or http://www.edtracing.com for the national series.
Also, no 4 pokes for me unless it is something for the pit area & I'll be 2 stroke till the day I'm in my box & they throw dirt on me.

C-Leigh, I was stationed in J ville NC 2 years ago but I still have some property there and may be going back in a year. I used to Race with the small local MX Series, Halfmoon, Haw branch, Sand Ridge, Crystal Coast now JWTF,  Iron Clad. I used to run a few TT races a year Iron Clad and Busco Beach. I am however currently in MO for the next year.

Dirtyd the orange fendered quad is a ds650 that im working on for a fellow marine. The two frames hanging on the wall are 2005 trx450r frames from the one I blew up racing last year.
