Currently I am running the gt thunder 450r poly skid that I trimmed down to fit my R. I was running an old ac skid that I had to bend some and cut a little to fit my -1 houser swingarm. Just recently i fabbed up my own skid to match the full frame.

I knew I wouldn't have the support backing this due to the attachment posts on the swinger so I had to use and old rock crawling style. Metal with the poly over it. I'm running 16 ga steel with 1/4" UHMW over it. It is trimmed to fit and bent in the front and rear to give it a nice look. I also used countersunk stainless hardware.

As you see I have no rotor or sprocket guards at the moment. I also purchased 1 1/2" thick HDPE that I routed out to work as a skid. I only have the rotor side done at the moment. When they are complete i will secure them to the main skid using the tabs that are bent upwards on the main skid itself. I also don't have linkage protection. I can always add this later but at the moment I am not hitting anything on this mx course.

I did figure my linkage would flex a little and hit the skid. It did so I'll be notching it soon to give it that appropriate clearance.

It was tested on the mx course that is kind of rough. The linkage was able to slap it enough from hitting 40' jumps and occasionally landing rough. So far it's nice and serving its purpose, protecting my powder.

This next image is from not planting my damn foot while jumping and hitting either the kick start knuckle or the rear brake valve. Mx boots were worn.

Had a foot similar to that once, it was from not clearing a creek jump and the frame bottomed before the rear suspension hit. Thing took forever to heal, strange how when you have an injured part it is always what seems to find a way to keep hurting itself again.

Ha.  Yeah.  Surprisingly none of the bruised area hurts and today I was still able to run 5 miles in my Merrell's.
