Im not sure if any of you have checked out TroyBilt's airbox/intake boot designs but they are looking amazing.  The flow increases he is showing with a flow bench are astounding. I asked him about a 250R design and he had mentioned that there didnt seem to be enough interest.  So I was hoping that maybe he was misinformed.

We need a better high flowing intake and airbox option.  I know i would want one for my XC bike for sure.  My MX bike would require a different boot due to the cr 500 linkage.

Getting rid of the restrictive rubber boot would be amazing, i think it would also making mounting carbs easier, as you would be able to force them onto the carb from the airbox side instead of having the rubber boot just collapse.

So who all would be interested in a new airbox/boot.  I imagine its going to cost something.  Im sure more than $200, so keep that in mind if you say that you want one.

Lets make this a reality for the 250r brethren.

I would most definitely be interested in one for my Laeger no-link. My air-box setup is terrible

Im assuiming he would start by building one for an OEM frame/suspension setup.

I would definitely be interested in one as long as it is easier to put the carb on instead of more difficult.

Kyle, you should post some of the pics that he has done for the 450s. I looked at a couple of the pics. They looked good.

I'm very interested for one on my stock frame. I would imagine the big issue with producing something like that for us is there's just so many different combinations of frames, carbs, and cylinders so i don't know if one universal setup would work for everyone. Obviously the no links would have to be different. I would be willing to make something work.. Nothing else that I've put on my quad has been a direct bolt on so I wouldn't be too sad if It didn't fit perfect. I've been having a lot of issues getting my smartcarb mounted up perfect lately.

Can you guys get me a measurement for the inside diameter of the bell housing (intake side) on your carbs and Smart carbs?  Not the outer diameter, I need the intake to match inside so the transition is minimized.  I'll get UPP to make an adaptor boot to go from the intake tube to the carb.  Right now I don't have a carb to use.  The intake design is mostly done.  I'm going to borrow Dan's airbox to get a box drawn up.
