This is unbelievable, why close the dunes? Have those people move if they do not like it! These people are just stupid why did they buy a home there knowing that "health hazard" is there? I hope Pismo does not close down that would be a shame. But i will tell you what there a more dune users that would bitch a storm if Pismo closed. Here in lies the problem...All those Duners your are talking about??...How many are showing up at the air quality board meetings??....If everyone that used the dunes with their ATV would go to the meetings...Do you really think this would even be an issue?...Time after time after time I have seen this happen.....One person...ONE PERSON.....Complains and shuts down a racetrack....A riding area.....That hundreds....if not thousands use....Is that justice?..Is that fair?...What ever happened to putting things to a vote...Do you imagine if they had a vote to shut down Pismo it would pass....Hell no so they go about it this way...The EPA is one of the strongest arms of the goverment....See what your taxes are gettin ya?..And every year the great Governor of this state robs the Green Sticker Fund...Did you know that he has actually used some of the money he robbed from the Green sticker fund to shut down some riding areas??? ..Just like the area I live in...Did you know we used to have 5 Motorcycle dealerships in the area????Know how many we have now?....2..Why???...The closest place to ride is over an hour away.....And little Johnny riding in the back yard is now illegal....first offense is 500 dollars.....Third offense your bike...ATV whatever gets taken and sold...and if you are over 18 its one year in the county jail.....We used to have FlatTrack /TT races at the Fairgrounds here.....Not anymore...The Lady that is now in charge of it says they have noise issues....Even though when the fair is in session you can here it all the way to the Coast sometimes......And she says the Horses take precedence over anything else........ Most of the horse events are people from out of the area....thought the Fairgrounds was for the people of the area???....As a side note she helps promote Santa Maria Speedway....Hmmm conflict of interest???...I have personally tried to take on city hall..But they have their money driven agenda and it is hopeless....I'm getting old and just don't have the energy to fight anymore..LOL   In closing my Rant....I am honestly totally surprised that there is even a place to ride your ATV in this state....If agenda 21 gets their way there won't be...period...

The wind at pismo blows that sand and dust to Nevada, no atv help required. I still have a hard time using the word dust when talking about this. If you look at the dunes from a distance and see a tan cloud that is sand stupid, not dust, and it would be there off road use or not. Let me teach you something you upity nag, wind blows sand. Wind is your problem, among other things.

Same thing happened to one of the best tt tracks in history. Spinners Airport Raceway in Porterville Ca. The track was out of town but some people built their houses near the track and got it shut down due to noise. The track had been there for YEARS and was a state off road funds built location with an mx track out back. It also had a bmx track in the front.

This issue makes my blood boil. The epa has way too much over reach  these days. You think thats bad theres people losing their  personal property because the epa decides they want to make something up to have their way. When do the people make a stand?

Dunes, dust, dirt and air is all the same stuff. In time the top soil moves around for hundreds of miles. If you build your house next to and open area you will get the dust blowing through if you do not have trees to protect you. We have farmers fields out back and when they till the soil you want to cover your nice car and quad. You can't tell the farmers not to farm. I have seen the dust storms and they do not originate from ATV's. Whether its mother nature or machines no ones gonna stop the dust. Been moving for a million years and will move for a million years no matter what stupid people have to say about it. Point is they should MOVE to a protected environment and leave the riding areas open.

FerrinMotorsports I respectfully know and understand what you are saying about participating in talks with Government on matter. But I will tell you me personally I have been wanting to attend the meetings that are held here in Phoenix I would love to attend but they start at 5PM but I work from 2-10:30PM. I personally hope Pismo does not shut down I have been there a few times and I can't describe how cool that place is in July and August.
