Finally got to install the new case saver and went up to a 14 on the counter shaft sprocket.
Thanks to Tony for the blasting on the cover and the-steve-man for the cover!

I love those UPP case savers....wish I would've found them earlier.... they would've saved me a case!
I've done quite a bit lately. New (to me) polished 310 sleeved stock cylinder, 38mm Air Stryker, CR250 Rad Valve, new Paul Turner Eliminator pipe, new polished stator cover, new D.I.D chain, some 23" tires for trail riding, and a new polished kicker and shifter. It runs pretty strong now.

After blowing my motor and finding a crack at the lower motor mount I decided to order one of Tony's complete gusset kits.

Today I started cutting off all of the unneeded mounts and tabs and came up with a plan to mount my rear shock reservoir behind the radiator, mount the cdi and coil under the tank behind the radiator, minimize the petcock mount since I'm not using a head stay and reroute my radiator overflow hose to just above my pipe so when it overflows it'll steam.

Pics aren't too descriptive but you'll see the raw metal spots as I made progress. I'll have to repowder after it's all complete.

After the vin picture was taken i reduced the size of the plate so it can fit in the spot shown. The whole stock reservoir mount will be removed as will the stock tool box mount.

Dan's poly seat grommets also has me thinking of putting my router to use. I'll be making poly grommets for that along with chain sliders and rollers. I'll also be welding on pro peg nerf bar mounts to use with whatever nerf bars I purchase shortly. The mounts will be welded to minimize hardware needed.

Put most of them away so I can focus on finishing my 87 build this winter.

It isn't easy sometimes.  I have a on-going list on what needs to be fixed on each one.  One good thing is though when one breaks you can still ride!

As much as I debated on welding tonight, I still did some. Not happy with my welding due to me not getting the frame completely clean in the first areas. It'll def hold though.
Here's my vin tab welded up (doesn't need to be strong) and a pic of my coil/cdi/ground/rad overflow hose. The cdi will be zip tied in place using the two brackets it rests on. The tab next to it is for the ground. This will keep all of my wiring tidy.

Nice victor. I really like that houser stem in red and the sticker running up it.

Nice rich red powder. I'm happy it's finally coming back together.

Damn. That's even better if you decide to run a stabilizer. My CCP pulled so stickers off but it's no big deal. Keep the pics coming.

I got my motor upgrade in the mail today from Eddie Sanders. I can't wait to get to work on it. Eddie threw in a pile of extras including a jet wrench, coolant temp gauge, throttle cover, and a case saver!
