You got some good parts.  Those pegs and shamrocks are getting harder to find.  Have you tried to check the pressure in the front tires yet?  I wound up switching to 88 spindles and hubs to make it easier to get to the valve stem.

Also, it has a top end port and has "WOP" engraved on the cylinder...anyone know who that may be?  My wife said it means it's mine cause I'm Italian...

Looks like you scored yourself a decent ride there!!  Where abouts did ya find that?  There's never much on CL around these parts.  Guess you're all set to go riding now!  We'll have to plan on meeting up maybe sometime in the fall.

Yea man absolutely!  Gotta get riding in before my son is born in Oct.!!
I found this on CL up in Mass... Lakeville (bout the 3rd time I've found a quad in Lakeville!).... this was one of the cleaner ones I have seen in our area... I prob. paid too much for it, but it had a bunch of things done to it and ran well so I jumped on it!

Yes it is an 87 w/ spacer plate motor... Ported for top end w/ PWK39.... It is very peaky!  Hits hard on top... not much low end at all though.... I plan on using i mid range ported cylinder I have and a smaller carb when I tear it down this winter.... Trying to give it more low-end and mid range to be a better trail bike!  Runs great though!!

Just curious Tony, why is 87 your favorite year?  I't mine too because I have 3 87 frames now :smile-new:

I find that I see 87 less than any other year. I've got a frame from one but its pretty beat up I'd wouldn't mid one just like you got.  And Ive always said, you never over pay for something you really want. As long as you enjoy it price doesn't matter anymore. Nice score man!!
