Leaking gas
« on: July 21, 2013, 10:33:06 PM »
So I went riding and used all my gas. Had to go buy so cheap 2cycle oil from the gas station. Mixed it up and started fouling plugs. Brought my R home. Drained all my gas and put in a new plug and new gas with 927.  Now when I turn the gas on it runs a steady stream out the float bowl overflow tube. I checked my float lvl and its fine. Any ideas as why this is happening?

It almost sounds like when you turn the gas on the needle is stuck in the seat and letting it fill and fill.

I have had this happen  and was able to get it to stop by tapping the bowl with the plastic end of of a screwdriver

Sounds like when you ran it out of gas it sucked all the junk from the tank into the carb. Do you have a fuel filter on it?
I would pull the carb and clean it all out.

U would be surprised what's in the gas tank
I try to keep mine clean ,especially from sand at the dunes

I just pulled my tank to clean it because I had a loose hose
I found some sand and dirt particles in it
