I just bought a pack of 100 Stanley razor blades from Sears, Made In USA.

The standard Craftsman line of ratchets, wrenches, and even some sockets are made in china now. I had to step up to their "Premium" line of ratchets and wrenches to get the American made stuff.

I also found out DeWalt makes some of their drills in the USA now, so I picked up a USA combo hammer drill set. They are awesome.

Tools are one thing I will absolutely not buy if not made in USA. Same goes for the sight on my AR

Couple of my buddies who are union carpenters brought home some tools from Sears that were all made in china. Oh the irony.....

This topic grinds my gears

How can you tell if a craftsman hand too is usa made or china? WithOut the packaging I mean, just bare tool.

all the crafts man hand wrenches i have say forged in usa. im assuming that meens the whole thing was made in usa. their torq wrenches, atleast the one i have says made in usa on the handle. if theres no country of original on the items, like some of the craftsman vices, then its most likely china but it will say china on the box. the biggest give away is usually theres no country of origin on the tool

How funny me & the wife try to advoid china made crap all the time. You know how hard it is to find american made dog treats here in my state. Cause the china made ones were making dogs sick I guess, so we are advoiding those at all costs.

Craftsman really likes to engrave USA on their handles in big letters.......but when it's made in china they use they smallest labeling possible....go figure

All the major hand tool companies, snap-on, Mac, Matco are all out sourcing things now. That's what bothers me the most is when you pay an arm and a leg for one of their tools and it's not even u.s. Made. Craftsmen is still cheap at least compared to those other companies. It's just the fact too they are out sourcing because it's cheaper and still charging their premium u.s. Made price that drives me nuts.
