I bought a CT national pipe of a member and I am having a hard time mounting it using the stock exhaust flange.  It doesn't want to fit past the steel o-ring on it.  Is there a flange specific for CT pipes or something?  I had a FMF and it fit fine so I'm confused.  Should I remove the o-ring and just use RTV (which I will use with it anyway)?  Any help would be appreciated.  Also does anyone have any suggestions where to get springs.  The ones I have are not the greatest.

I just took the steel sealing ring off and used 3 bond 1211 to seal the pipe.  Has worked great for me.   Make sure your flange is super clean on the inside and outside first.  I have not found an aftermarket flange that the CT pipe fits into. As far as springs, I think I ended up using banshee exhaust springs by the flange and maybe brake pedal return springs for the 2 pieces of the pipe?  Can't remember exactly

not familiar with the metal oring you speak of but if its like the one a cr5 uses then you could probly use a dremel and grind alittle from the ends and this might allow it to collapse alitle farther and the pipe can go on. same concept as a grinding the ends of a piston ring if it was to big.
to much power is almost enough

I use ct pipes. I never had a fitment issue. Can you show a picture?

So they work for u guys?  The pipe is used so u know how that goes.  Maybe some rtv got behind it and the o-ring won't retract all the way?  I need to put some more time on it today.  My fmf fit easily but I can't wait to try this pipe out!

these pipes are a really nice midrange pipe.  I like the fit of it over my trx5 pipe.  Neil recommends them so you know they are good!!!  And they seem to be built very good.  Not as much top end as the trx5, but definitely  more bottom

That's what I hear. This is my first pipe besides a fmf. I love this quad now and I was told the fmf was a turd so I should love it even more with the CT pipe.  But like everything else with these quads, it always seems to require some work when switching things out lol. This thing was made when I was 3!

Is the flange or cup out of round? Something caught under the ring keeping it from fully collapsing?

The pipe is a little rough on one spot of the edge and the flange is a little beat up. I cleaned the channel for the o ring and it helped a little. I finally got it to go in but it was a PITA.  
At least it's in and I can mock everything up now. I only got another hour or so left in me before it hits 100° and I quit.  Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I think when I actually put it on I will sand the o ring down a smidge as was suggested earlier.  Do you guys use the front headstay bold to attach the exhaust hanger?  It seems the closest so far
