i may have missed it, but what else have you looked at for this issue? I cant recall for sure, but you do need to seal the pipe. is there spooge on the front of your motor coming from the pipe at the manifold-pipe connection? if so, pull it apart and clean it REALLY GOOD, then rough up the inside of the pipe and the outside of the flange and put black RTV on it and let it cure for 24 hours. after that it should be sealed, if its not sealed and you are getting oil/gas crap on the front of your motor than its not only leaking but also sucking air in leaning the motor out. just a thought. How is your jetting? How do your plugs look?
