Couldn't believe it myself, seen it on craigslist hurried and sold mine, bought this one. Always wanted an original 86.

Looks real good. Still got the skid plates. Rear axle has no rust on it. Should be in great shape overall. Looks like you scored pretty big on this beauty! The stock front springs were blue. Yours are red and bigger like the 450r.

So do you think some body replaced them with better shocks?? This is only my second R and I am hooked, the whole motor, top end and bottom end has been restored (he gave me all the receipts for parts and work done), bored .80 over, 38mm pwk keihin, k&n open air filter, v-force reeds, new tires and rims,  all new. Paid $1750

Any suggestions on break in would be appreciated, he gave me a list of where he was at, he did like four heat cycles then rode at 1/4 throttle for three ten minute periods. I rode it yesterday at 1/4 throttle four times at 10 min intervals. Compression at 195 and rising after every ride. How long till I can let loose?? He told me if I get over 200psi I have to use race fuel.

I think 1 or 2, 10 minute runs no further than 3/4 throttle and you'll be ready to rip.

Was the head modified at all for higher compression? Or thinner head gasket used? I'm not sure what stock compression usually is but I know you shouldn't be over 200psi with a stock motor

Hmm, not sure I will call the guy I got it from and ask him, he has been really cool and we are actually going to go ride together. Thank you for the input.

86's were either blue or red. The front motor mounts shows its an 86.
