I really like my dual pass Afco.  Even in hard duning with my 310 I can't hardly keep it at 180 degrees.  It'll want to run around 130 at an idle.

Jason,
PWR and CBR are the same radiators. PWR was bought out by CBR a short time ago. Depending on when the radiator was made, it might say PWR on it still or it might say CBR.

I have a CBR radiator now that is pretty much identical to a PWR from years back.  I didn't know CBR bought PWR but figured they were the same piece, just branded differently.

Let me clarify this a little bit. CBR bought out PWR's line of TRX 250R radiators. PWR no longer makes radiators for the R's. CBR makes the ones you see being sold today. Depending on the inventory, you might even still see a new one come with PWR's name on it.

Thanks Ryan.  Good to know!

Thanks for the input. So is afco better than cbr? Also is this the afco part # afc-80260n summitracing for 369.99. cbr is like 400.00 not much price difference.

Also note that the Afco requires AN fittings while the PWR/CBR does not.  And since the Afco has the inlet & outlet on the same side, you'll need to reroute hoses and probably buy new ones as well.

I love my afco radiators.  They seem to fit perfect and the hoses actually fit better.  I don't know about cooling but having the lower radiator hose on the opposite side of the exhaust pipe is well worth it to me!!  They are a little more money with the fittings, but I think they are worth it.  Used ones pop up every now and then also..

I believe that the afco radiators probably cools a bit better than the CBR ones. But, as mentioned, they require rerouting hoses and additional fittings. So it depends on what your compromise is.
(P.S. - I am working with a cooler manufacturer right now to make a radiator that will cool better than both and be stronger than both). But that is on the DL.

Well, not anymore!  WP shafts, impellers, and now a radiator?  You're really digging into the TRX250R cooling systemrablack21! :applouse:

Just trying to update some things with a little newer technology. It's up to us to keep these bad boys going. I don't think it is fair to say anymore that these TRX 250R are made by Honda or from Japan. There is more stuff on my quad made in the USA than there is from Honda. LOL
