No John just aluminum and honestly they are light enough.

just dont give aluminum a regular pounding or it will fail you.  imagine going 100+ and your aluminum parts fails due to fatigue failure.  youngs modulus saya alot about our sport.

John it's the same axle as the gun drilled axles for drag they put behind the big banshees and even some of the sled powered bikes.

I got a play axle on my 10mil DM , 14 paddle stags dune all day and no fails

Not sure JJ&A Racing ever "made" a titanium axle.  Can you confirm?  Race Tech makes a titanium shaft (and other hardware) for JJ&A axles:  http://racetechtitanium.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=267

I think RAD mfg. made titanium axles and hubs at one point.

I remember years ago reading on the Planetsand forum about a company doing some R&D on Titanium and real Carbon Fiber drag axles. Don't remember the name of the company though.
