Hello everyone, I have had my 86r since 2000 or 2001 bought stock and spent several years building, and upgrading it.  In 06 I started racing MX and the tranny let go 2 weeks before the first race.  So I brought the tranny in for a rebuild and bought a brand new ltr450 to race.  Shortly after I reassembled my r rode it a few times and parked it in the shop with a broken swingarm and broken front brake caliper, where it has sat for 9 years now.  After a couple years of racing I got into snowmobiling and lost interest in riding quads, so I sold the ltr a few years back.
Now for some odd reason I have felt the urge to resurrect the old girl and tear it up again (if I still can).  So last week I ordered a lonestar swingarm, put some new fuel in it and it fired on the 6th kick.  Swingarm is a few weeks out and the brakes still need to be addressed, but I am very excited to get back on the seat, and to be a member of the site.

Thanks guys, not sure if I will get back into racing, I'm older and fatter now and way out of practice.  But I would like to ride some tracks and definitely want to make some Oregon dune trips.

Welcome to the site & welcome back to the great world of 250R's! It's always cool to see more guys joining from the NW. Post up in the dune section when your getting ready to come to Oregon & some of us can try to meet up with you. Hope to have a big 250R group ride at the dunes sometime soon.

Thanks guys, I will definitely make a post when I go down there, would be cool to ride with some 250r guys.  All the years I rode I only ever rode with one other guy that had one.  Just not common up here I guess.
