Gotta sell some parts or project dies.  Hoping to fund cutting billet cases with alternative top end mounts. Think counterbalanced cr500.

What alloy and temper are the aluminum tie rods made of?

i do not have the spec sheets in front of me but from memory it was 6065 t6 hardened rod.   the machine shop doing the work normally makes huge hydraulic machinery and i personally know most of the team. they know metal. period.

i know basically no one on this forum knows who i am but a long time ago i went into business with a machine shop in cali churning out billet ATV parts and after i did the design, research, test fits, marketing, etc. the machine shop i was using took all my work and wrote me off and started selling the parts themselves.  due to a slight design alteration i still see MY parts by this company sold today but i was young and naive at the time and it was all verbal agreements based on trust so i was SOL.

i did not randomly chuck scrap metal to a lathe and pop out tie rods, i have done ATV and automotive work since i could read.

I would very much like to aid the ATV community with some new parts for sale, but i have other priorities and no time for convincing people that this is legit.  maybe someone on here is old enough to remember and maybe they even have an original set of billet 450R motor mounts, or tie rods or air cleaner box eliminator mounts. (there is  a picture of one of these mounts on MY fourwheeler being used for sales purposes still)

this has to be a self sufficient sells system or it is dead in the water.

sorry for the rant.

7075 should probably be used for the tie rods.  They should also be hard anodized for ATV-offroad applications.

if someone would like a pair for free if they will test and endorse the product or give me feedback on failure or miss fit, arrangements  can be made.
