Get an Oem. They don't have a very good track record.

Why can't an aftermarket company make a CDI that actually works properly?

Get OEM. Not worth the time trying to get a good one. Sometimes they work but not the same performance.

The only CDI boxes that I have had good results with are the OEM and Vortex programmable boxes.  Had nothing but problems with Dynatek and all of the other aftermarket boxes that are all over the internet.

If Shindengen made the CDI's for the TRX250R....why can't anyone order a bunch from them and re-sell them ?

Or does it have to do with Honda's Proprietary Property ? It's been 30 years....so they should be able to sell them to whoever wants them.

Their Website only lists DC CDI units.....the 250R uses an AC CDI unit.

Even a cr isn't a guaranteed deal I've had 3 bad 01 cr250 stators.

You can buy a used complete 01 kit for $500+. No there are no new ones for any price. Carlos will only sell them to high $$$ purchasers. So if you spend 10K with BDT I am sure you could get a new one for $800

Sent this request today:
By chance would your company be able to produce or maybe have in stock the
AC CDI for the 1986-1989 TRX250R four wheelers? Seems like there is a high
demand for this unit. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
